We are making it easier to request appointments
From the 2nd of October, you will be able to submit all medical and admin requests through our website, as well as by calling or coming into the practice. This will include appointment requests, prescriptions, test results, fit notes, referral queries and more.
All requests for appointments with a doctor will now be reviewed by our team, led by a GP, who will contact you with an appointment with one of our team or signpost you to the service best able to meet your needs.
This ensures that all patients have equal access to our services, whether you use our online form, call the practice or visit us, and receive the right care at the right time with the right team.
We encourage everyone who can make an online appointment request via our website to do so, ensuring our phone lines remain available for those who need them. Those unable to use our website can continue to call us at 01273 834 388 or visit the practice in person and our reception team will be happy to help you.
FAQ’s
How do I book an appointment?
If you have access to the internet on a phone or computer, please go to our website and click on appointments, then submit an online request. You will be asked a few simple questions about your problem and how you would like us to deal with it.
Who reviews our appointment requests?
We have a dedicated team of staff Led by a GP, who will review and allocate requests to the appropriate member of our clinical team.
What if I don’t have access to the internet or cannot fill out the form?
If you cannot use the internet or fill out the online request form for any reason, please call us on our usual number 01273 834388, or pop into one of our surgeries and our team will be happy to help.
Why are you changing this?
We have received patient feedback about experiencing long waits on the phone to make an appointment, and sometimes having difficulties getting an appointment when it’s needed. We have looked at different ways to help with this, and are responding by making it easier to access us online for those that are able to do so, freeing up phone lines for those that need them the most.
All our patients will have the same access to our team whether we receive a request online, on the phone or in person.
