Prostate Cancer Information Evening in Hassocks

On the 28th November, we hosted a well-attended Prostate Cancer Information Evening in Hassocks. We have 18 attendees (13 of which were patients, and the rest accompanying support partners).

The evening featured an engaging and informative talk from Dr Richard Cook, who also answered questions and took time to speak with attendees individually. Feedback from participants highlighted how valuable they found this personalised approach.

Cheryl Berry from Healthwatch was also in attendance, along with three members of the Mid Sussex Prostate Cancer Support Group. Their presence added further value, as they provided a wealth of information and resources. Some attendees expressed keen interest in joining the support group after the event.

Given the strong attendance and positive feedback, we are considering hosting this event annually. With demand exceeding expectations, a larger venue may be required for future sessions.

The evening proved to be a meaningful opportunity for sharing information and supporting patients.
